Would that I knew, my Master, My God and my Protector, Whether You wilt give the Fire dominion over faces fallen down prostrate before Your Tremendousness, And over tongues voicing sincerely the profession of Your Unity and giving thanks to You in praise, And over hearts acknowledging Your Divinity through verification, And over minds encompassing knowledge of You until they have become humble And over bodily members speeding to the places of Your worship in obedience and beckoning for Your forgiveness in submission.

English Translation of Dua Kumail
How many of my loathsome acts hast Thou screened from public gaze How many of my grievous afflictions distresses hast Thou reduced in severity And how many of my stumblings hast Thou protected, how many of my detestable acts has Thou averted, and how many of my undeserving praises hast Thou spread abroad! A Du’a, or supplication, is largely an appeal to God on behalf of oneself or another.
You art more generous than that You shouldst squander him whom You hast nurtured, Or banish him whom You hast brought nigh, Or drive away him whom You hast given an abode Or submit to tribulation him whom You hast spared and shown mercy. So, in what was put into effect through englisn in that situation, I transgressed some of Your statutes. Whose Name is the remedy for all ills and Whose remembrance is a sure cure for all ailments and obedience to Whom makes one self sufficient; have mercy on one whose only asset is hope and whose only armour is lamentation O’ Thou!
For it is a tribulation whose period is long, whose station endures and whose sufferers are given no respite. O Allah, so accept my excuse, Have mercy upon the severity of my affliction And release me from the tightness of my fetters, My Lord, have mercy upon kumayll weakness of my body, the thinness of my skin and the frailty of my bones.

Bestow upon me for the sake of Your having given rise [to me] with generosity and Your previous goodness to me! For that cannot be attained except by Your bounty. And make me one of the most excellent of Your slaves in Portion from You. Who illuminateth those who are in bewilderment! But now I have turned Thee, my Lord, after being guilty of omissions and transgressions against my soul, apologetically, repentantly, broken heartedly, entreating earnestly for forgiveness, yieldingly confessing to my guilt as I can find no escape from that which was done by me and having no refuge to which I could turn except seeking Thy acceptance of my excuse and admitting me into the realm of Thy capacious mercy.
Or how should he have hope of Your bounty in freeing him from it, while You abandon him within it? Forgive me my such sins as would bring down calamity. So by Your might, comply with my supplication And make me attain my desires! For which things would I complain to You? Such sort of harshness is not expected from Thee as it is remote from Thy grace, o’ generous one! They are not equal My God and my Master! O He to whom I complain about my states! So, in what was put into effect through me in that situation, I transgressed some of Your statutes.
Forgive me my such sins as would affront my continency O Allah! Is he who has been believer like unto him who has been ungodly? Owner of my bondage! O Allah, my Master and my Lord! Lastly, the view of universal determinism claims that the granting of a prayer is a direct result of terrestrial dispositions in accordance with celestial causes, thus through the laws of the macrocosm.
The Psalms of Islam. I reckon that though I may patiently endure the scorching fire of Thy hell, yet how can I resign myself to the denial of Thy pity and clemency? And You know my weakness before a little of this world’s tribulations and punishments. And over tongues voicing sincerely the profession of Your Unity and giving thanks to You in praise.
My Lord, have mercy upon the weakness of my body, the thinness of my skin and the frailty of my bones. Forgive me my such sins as would change divine favours into disfavours O Allah! And desire fervently Your proximity among the fervently desirous.

Have mercy upon him whose capital is hope And whose weapon is tears! Imam Ali said- “Whosoever keeps awake in devoutness on this night 15th Shaban and recites the Dua of Prophet Khizr, undoubtedly that person’s supplication will be responded to and granted.
And make me one of the most excellent of Your slaves in Portion from You, And the nearest of ku,ayl in station to You And the most elected of them in proximity to You. O You who gave rise to my creation, to the remembrance of me, to the nurture of me, to goodness toward me and to nourishment on me, Bestow upon me for the sake of Your having given rise [to me] with generosity and Your previous goodness to me!
